Uzbekistan-Belarus Bilateral Trade Soars 25 Percent
The figures emerged following a high-level meeting on Tuesday between Mirziyoyev and visiting Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official diplomatic trip.
Bilateral trade climbed 25 percent in 2025, nearing the $1 billion mark, with cooperation between major enterprises across key economic sectors continuing to deepen, the statement confirmed.
"The high level of cooperation achieved, particularly in the trade and economic sphere, was noted with satisfaction," the statement read.
Both sides underscored the urgency of forging a forward-looking economic agenda, placing particular emphasis on advancing joint ventures across a broad spectrum of industries — including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food production, and agriculture, the statement added.
The meeting signals growing momentum in ties between the two nations, as Tashkent and Minsk move to diversify and institutionalize their economic partnership across multiple high-priority sectors.
